Learn more than the basics
Infants
A soothing environment. Babies can get overwhelmed easily, so caregivers make sure the lights aren't too bright, the room isn't too cluttered, and recorded music is played only once in a while. Defined areas. The room is divided into separate areas for sleeping, playing, eating, and changing diapers.
Toddlers
A environment rich with many learning opportunities, from kiddos just getting the wiggles out to kiddos engaging with animals and learning how to care for them. With toddler we find learning through play is the best experience.
Preschool
A nurturing environment to encourage kids to open up to learning and teaching them the basics but also more than that. From caring for animals to helping in the garden. Teaching kiddos how to sustain themselves.
Pre-K
With this age group we work with them on preparing them for kindergarten but also continue on with the less traditional learning.
Our Approach
Here at SELA we want children to thrive in learning everyday, and we do that in teaching more than just the basics. We invite children to come to our homestead and learn about caring for animals, Growing and preserving their own food along with teaching them to make everything from scratch.
